In your menu.lst in /boot/grub(or where ever your menu.lst is saved)
there should be a line that says
default 0 

Change that to 
default saved

and add savedefault to your boot entries, or you can just change 0 to
the entry number you want booted by default.

You may have to boot into single user mode to be able to edit that file
since it isn't booting by default right now.
