Each week, after the business part of the meeting, we have a short discussion on a topic general interest. The next discussion hasn't been scheduled yet.

If you want to volunteer, just sign up for an open date in the #Discussion Schedule section. If there is a topic that you would like to know more about, add it to the list of #Topics for Discussions. If there are discussions that you willing to lead but need motivation, add those to the list as well (and name your price).

History of Beowulf This is just a show and tell on the first Beowulf machines built by Thomas Sterling and Don Becker at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. I will try to cover:

  • Why it Happened
  • What a Beowulf cluster is and what it is not
