Hi everyone, Thank you for those who could attend tonight. We covered general semester plans and goals. We want to ramp up on recruiting and plan on visiting classes, creating table tents, and printing off some posters/flyers. I’ll be looking into wether it’s possible for LUG to advertise on the monitors in the Library. We are going to continue the t-shirt purchase. We decided to go with SunFrogTshirts and will hope to get a design finalized soon. Later in the semester we are going to hold elections for eBoard next year. If anyone is interested in Vice President and/or Public Relations for this semester send me an email. LUG will be applying for USG funding for next year. Brendan and I will be attending the Financing meeting next Tuesday. The official weekly server maintenance time for all of the LUG servers will be Sunday at 8:00pm to 9:00pm EST. During this time there might be brief service disruptions while servers are rebooted for kernel patches. A server admin will be present in IRC during the maintenance period for progress updates. This Sunday will be an important one as XenServer has a number of patches that need to be applied and the shell server has kernel updates. I strongly recommend anyone on the shell server to safely shut down any running processes and backup any critical data as a precaution.
