I would take the other opinion, and say that GNU is a component of a
system that need not include Linux. It's just the best of possible
options. So yes, GNU/Linux is a valid descriptor and I applaud you in
it's use, Charles. I run Debian/GNU/Linux, given I could be using
Debian/GNU/Hurd or possibly Android/Linux.
Also, congrats on learning something, and don't let nay-sayers make you
feel small for them having known one thing that you didn't.
