I'm having problems with my old (2003) Suse 9.2 laptop and I've been told
that the LUG is the place to go to for help. I'm hoping someone out there
is willing to help me out because I'm not familiar with linux.  Here's the
just of the problem: it stopped reading cd's but I don't think its a
hardware problem because it will still read some DVD's. I'm hoping that if
I can get a new version of linux (beginner friendly please) installed on
it, it may fix the optical drive problem, but it won't read cd's to
install anything.  I would greatly appreciate any help or advice that
anyone can give me.
