bash backup script

Someone was asking about a backup script at the LUG meeting tonight.   
While I don't think it is as nice as BackupPC, to each their own.

This script was given to me by Steve Isaacson, who got it from his  
brother (I think), so it's been around the block a few times.  If you  
can't figure it out, let me know.
