    It&#039;s up, private message agmlego on IRC with a desired user name and a your real name&lt;br /&gt;

    - Enlightenment now has corporate sponsorship&lt;br /&gt;

5. Fluxbox and Minimal Desktops (by Kelwing)&lt;br /&gt;
    - Using &amp;quot;slim&amp;quot; which is a desktop manager (using with fluxbox)&lt;br /&gt;
    - Everything for fluxbox config is in ~/.fluxbox&lt;br /&gt;
    - Starts editing menu file, lines ore in the format [exec] (Label) (command -to -be executed)&lt;br /&gt;
    - Wallpapers? fbsetbg (depends on hsetroot OR esetroot)&lt;br /&gt;
    - Tabbed windows, use middle-click + drag onto another window, huge space saver&lt;br /&gt;

7. Linux Audio (by Dan)&lt;br /&gt;
    - Using jack&lt;br /&gt;
    - Program named Hydrogen, does drum beats and stuff&lt;br /&gt;
    - But audio doesn&#039;t work... owait it does&lt;br /&gt;
    - Bristol does some cool synth emulation&lt;br /&gt;
    - It&#039;s got a modular synthesizer (AlsaModularSynth (ams))&lt;br /&gt;
    - Jack can send audio between programs, also midi signals.&lt;br /&gt;
    - Using ardour for mixing&lt;br /&gt;

2. Penguicon ($40 Tickets)&lt;br /&gt;
    Open source hardware/software and sci-fi convention downstate. (see http://www.penguicon.org )&lt;br /&gt;
    LUG can pay some for the tickets to help with costs.&lt;br /&gt;
    About 9 people here are interested.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Open Floor&lt;br /&gt;
    Ubuntu replacing GDM with something that doesn&#039;t suck?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Compiz-Desktop (presentation by Dan Williams)&lt;br /&gt;
    Freewins plugin is neat, lets you rotate windows&lt;br /&gt;
    GNOME v3 is shown, quite heavy, completely redesigned.&lt;br /&gt;
    Compiz is being run stand-alone without GNOME. Runs smooth, has dock, spiffy effets.&lt;br /&gt;
    /usr/local/bin/start-fusion.sh shown, script to start default programs.&lt;br /&gt;
    *Time to show off Enlightenment 17* (supposed release in December)&lt;br /&gt;
    Taskbar is on fire. Lightweight - able to run on 800MHz, 256MiB RAM machine without lag.&lt;br /&gt;
    Fire is eating CPU though. CPU use down when disabled. Rendering is done in software :(&lt;br /&gt;
