As is always a rule, respect the space as it was intended. This means do not take, move, modify, or tamper with anything that is not yours or intended to be communal. The staff use this space, let them have one less worry. Be invisible.
Part of a series on Hobomaxxing on campus.
The M&M houses a staff lounge area with shower equip bathroom for men and woman. The lounge itself is frequently used, and the locker space for the men's bathroom have name labels on each individual locker.
Foot Traffic and Activity
This shower is located through a staff lounge area, and I have encountered staff here late after hours (8pm). The M&M itself does not receive a lot of general student traffic other than the study spaces, but this room's layout and furnishings do make it a popular spot for those who know. While some staff may be present for a while after standard working hours, around midnight I have seen no activity. The showers are indeed used somewhat frequently, and the lockers are also in use. The doors for the bathroom and staff lounge itself are sometimes propped open or closed. I have not noticed a frequency or schedule, so I assume this is done by staff or custodial by feel. These doors can be closed if the maxxer would like some extra privacy.
Layout
The entryway to the lounge is on the 2nd floor, on the west side of the building. This can also be described as the side nearest to the DOW (lower entryways) or Dillman (upper entryways). The staff room leads into the kitchen before the bathroom entrances serve as the mid point of the room and the lounge area ends it off. The Kitchen area houses a fridge, two microwaves, a coffee maker and dishes. The Lounge area has a couch and desk, a whiteboard, rectangular table and a few chairs, and a TV. The middle of the room also has two circular tables and chairs for both. The men's bathroom leads into the locker room where benches are present. There is also an extension locker room set up in the same style. This leads into the bathroom area which is set up like a standard bathroom aside from the shower extension to the left (looking in). The bathroom has sinks, a urinal, and a large stall. The shower area is split by a bench with a sign (forgor what it says) and has two showers, one with a hand bar.
