Hi,

Thanks a lot for helping me out -- unfortunately, as most of you mentioned, Charter does block incoming Port 80 traffic along with other ports - 25, 443, 473, etc.

I have reverted back to my old method -- forwarding sgowtham.net to my physics web page.

By the way, does MTU ResNet block incoming Port 80 traffic ? I am asking this because I have seen (atleast) couple of you have hosted your website with resnet accounts - was it the straight forward way or you had to work around some difficulties ??

Thanks again
Gowtham

Resnet does not block any ports. There has been talk recently however of blocking 25 to cut down on the number of open spam relays. If you aren't concerned with running an email server from resnet then you should be fine.
