yeah,

if you see the usb drive as a boot option in your bios, but cannot boot from it, that means that you didn’t properly prepare your flash drive to be bootable.

otherwise, ( recently I had to do the uefi / secure boot disable on a new laptop I purchased ) see if there is a “legacy” option for boot. That’s what mine has at least.
